Description:
FW—6102 is a low hydrogen type hardfacing electrode. The structure of deposited metal is ferritic with dispersed carbide (within the matrix?). The deposited metal is air-cooled, with good crack resistance. It can be used for hardfacing gray iron, ductile cast iron, alloyed cast irons or for weld repairing casting defects.
The weldability is excellent. It is free of slag with steady arc, little splash and fine-looking.

Typical applications:

Repairing or hardfacing large-type cast iron compression mold, cast iron shaping mold or other cast iron dies. In some cases, this material can be used as buffering layers for other type of hardfacing materials.

Notes:

1、FW—6102 electrode should be baked for one hour with the temperature of 350°C before use.
2、The area to be hardfaced should be strictly cleared before welding.
3、Low current and short arc welding are commended when welding.
